I am currently trying to get a group together to cosplay from a Mecha Anime since that is the theme for JAFAX 15. Of course, it would be fun to do some of the ones I have heard of, but we might as well do a well-known anime so that everyone in my group knows who they are playing as and have seen the anime. There are many uniforms out there that we might mass produce for the group too. ^^

my group decided at our after Jafax picnic/party the last day (Sunday) that apparently we are going to be a Code Geass group... probability is like 90% there is a small possibility that we may go in another direction with maybe Guilty Gear... but its not likely...

You could make a leotard or buy a leotard.

Something like that, only change the collar to a v-neck and make the skirt on the leotard a bit longer.

Or you could make it into 3 pieces using a leotard and make the skirt and sailor collar detachable, that way it would be easier to get in and out of.

For the shoes, you can buy a pair from the thrift store and paint them red. The tiara can be made out of craft foam (using the craft foam armor tutorial (http://www.entropyhouse.com/penwiper/costumes/helmsdeep.html) and you could make it stay up with on your forehead with elastic.

Also, for your sailor mars, what I did for my saturn, was I ended up buying a plain white leotard and MAKING the sailor collar and attaching it with velcro. the same with the skirt.
