The Gym Leader Challenge
The JAFAX Championship
The Gym Leader Challenge will be held on Friday, June 27 from 3 PM to 9 PM and on Saturday, June 28 from 11 AM to 5 PM. In the Gym Leader Challenge, participants must defeat JAFAX Gym Leaders and obtain their Badges. All participants with four or more Badges will be eligible to enter the Championship Tournament. Gym Leaders have the discretion to set their own rules and to format their gyms to provide a fun and diverse challenge. Trainers may change their teams freely between battles during this part of the competition.
The 2025 JAFAX Championship will be held on Saturday, June 28 from 7 PM to 10 PM. The JAFAX Championships use a format of 6v6 Doubles with Normal Rules. Trainers will be required to lock in their championship team by filling out a team sheet with their chosen Pokemon and Tera Type for each Pokemon. This team sheet will be provided to your opponent during each match.

12 PM - 1 PM: Pokemon Stadium 2: Little Cup, Rentals Only — Team Building and Check-In

Competition-Eligible Pokemon
The JAFAX Pokemon League has split all Pokemon into one of three categories:
Legal
There are no restrictions to using any of these Pokemon.
Restricted
A maximum of two Pokemon from the restricted list may be used on the same team. This list contains Pokemon of the Sub-Legendary and Mythical rarity.
Banned
No Pokemon on this list may be used on any team. The ban list contains Pokemon of the Legendary rarity as well as other Pokemon deemed too powerful by the JAFAX Pokemon League.
